Cosmos in Eureka

Cosmos opens new facilities in the Eureka building at the Research Park (PRUAB) of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), Bellaterra. Since the creation of the PRUAB in 2007, it has supported over 300 business and entrepreneurial projects, while promoting the establishment of 92 companies, with a success rate exceeding 80%. These companies have created around 850 new jobs, 25% of which are highly qualified profiles, and generate an annual turnover of approximately 50 million euros, according to IRTA (Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology). Currently, the Eureka building serves as the R&D Center for Cosmos, led by our Technical Director Sergi Armengol. This October, we relocated the Creation and Application Departments. Regarding facilities, Cosmos has its own wing equipped with a flavor creation laboratory, a sweet flavors application laboratory, and a meeting room. Cosmos utilizes cutting-edge proprietary technologies, while also leveraging UAB’s resources, including the pilot plant SPTA (Food Technology Plant Service). From Eureka, we trust and aim to promote research within the technological and research framework offered by the UAB.
